However, Foxx will now get the chance to play a different Electro as he is set to return as the character in the MCU (perhaps alongside his Spider-Man Andrew Garfield) and we now have an idea of what that could look like. That, of course, wasn’t an MCU property and it wasn’t the best-received of the Spidey films either, with many unhappy about Electro’s blue look. This was clear when it was announced that Jamie Foxx would be reprising his role from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in the Tom Holland-led movie. It seems that this extends to the multiverse too as the upcoming Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are expected to widen the MCU on a monumental level, making reference to past Marvel projects that exist outside of the mainstream continuity. And, with long-running success stories like Agents of SHIELD and newcomer WandaVision entertaining viewers on the small screen too, there is no end to the ground that the MCU can cover. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an ever-changing whirlwind that emphasizes how shared universes can be accomplished successfully on the big screen. Jamie Foxx will reprise his role as Electro in Spider-Man 3 and he’ll be looking very different from his previous look.
